If you’re publishing on Medium you are probably, like me, following dozens of successful writers who interest you, like Tim Denning, who shares sound ideas on money making, investing and personal finance. And David O., who also writes about money. And Umair Haque, who dives into the murky seas of global politics. And Jessica Wildfire who tries to make sense of current events. And Zulie Rane, who writes on a broad ranger of subjects, including how to make mega-bucks as a “content creator.”

In support of the remarkably prolific output of Medium’s writers, I read, clap and comment, as time permits. I acknowledge and appreciate them. I hope I add to their success, in whatever small way. Many have been at it a long time and deserve it. But what about you?

What if you’re late to the party? Are there no more seats at the table, or even standing room? Quite likely, no. Getting started in a well-established medium, like Medium, can seem like being at the tailend of a ponzi scheme. Loser!

Of course there are many other options, (seach ‘sites that pay for content’) and, for as many formulas as are offered, there are exceptions. But, ultimately, building an audience of interested…
